Ingredients that you need for making this cake:

  • 150 gm unsalted butter and make sure it is in room temperature.
  • Muscovado sugar 150gm
  • 40g sifted cocoa
  • 150g self raising flour
  • 1tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp of bicarbonate of soda
  • 2 eggs
  • Vanilla extract 1 tsp
  • 142 soured cream
  • Golden syrup 2 tbsp


Ingredients for making butter cream:

  • white chocolate-200gm
  • Unsalted butter-280gm
  • Icing sugar-280gm
  • Vanilla extract-1 tsp


Ingredients for making chocolate curls:

  • White chocolate 100gm
  • Dark chocolate-100gm


Now you should know the method of preparing this cake-

First you need to preheat the oven to 180°C and then grease and line the base of 12cm, 18cm and 23 cm round cake pans.

Start beating the vanilla, sugar and butter until it is completely light and fluffy. Add eggs one by one and continue to beat. Now use spoonfuls of flours alternatively with milk. Make sure you are not overheating it. Now you need to divide the mixture between cake pans and carefully place in oven. Now give 30-35 minutes to bake the 12cm pan, 18cm cake for 35-40 minutes and 23cm cake for 40-45 minutes. Make sure the cakes are properly baked by doing the toothpick test. If it comes out clean, it means the cakes are properly baked.

Place the cakes onto a wired rack and let them be cooled properly. Place the cakes on the board and make a hole in centre of each using a pastry cutter.

Now you need to focus on making the icing. Take icing sugar, vanilla, butter and enough milk and continue beating until you get a creamy icing. Divide the cakes between three bowls and add a few drops of food coloring into each bowl and spread remaining icing over cakes and sprinkle coconut and finally place it on a three tiered cake stand and serve it.
